South St. Simons Island

You can begin anywhere on the island and leisurely make your way way through Pier Village and Neptune Park Fun Zone.
You can also take “monument rides,” biking along trails that allow you to explore some of St. Simons Island’s rich history. This is a lengthy bike ride so it is typically broken up into two separate routes, the North and the South. Make sure you wear sturdier shoes and clothing, and it may be a good idea to pack extra water and snacks for the ride. And don’t forget your camera!
If you choose the South route, you will be taken through monuments such as Gascoigne Bluff, Pier Village, St. Simons Lighthouse and Bloody Marsh. The North route takes you to the northernmost point on the island. Keep in mind that the bike rides from the southern to the northern tip is about 13 miles long, so don’t push yourself too much because we want to make sure you enjoy the ride.
